Katelyn Ridenour Parker
I didn’t always know that I wanted to be an attorney. I participated in debate in high school and college, and discovered my love of research and reasoned argument. After my completing my Bachelor of Music degree in Piano and Clarinet Performance, I attended law school at Baylor University.
When I graduated from law school, I knew I did not want to practice family law. I envisioned couples arguing over salt shakers, determined to make the other party as miserable as they were, and I wanted no part of that world. Over the past five years, I have come to realize that there are many people searching for a family law attorney who can help them reach solutions, rather than igniting a war.
My first job was in a general practice firm, where I practiced personal injury, employment, breach of contract, and probate in addition to family law. This broad base has not only given me valuable experience in the courtroom, it also means I can spot issues in other areas that may arise during a divorce. I work with attorneys in a variety of practice areas, including criminal defense, probate, estate planning, and personal injury to ensure that all of your legal needs are met.
In addition to traditional areas of family law, I keep up to date with novel areas of the law, including embryo donation, embryo adoption, and disputes over embryos in the context of divorce.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, riding my electric bike, running, visiting Denver's local coffee shops, and hiking.
Meet AnnaGrace - Paralegal
AnnaGrace Head
As a paralegal, my role in the legal process is “behind the scenes.” You will not see me arguing in a court room or presenting your position to a mediator. However, you will find me in the middle of your financial disclosures, drafting and filing documents, and in the minute but significant details of the everyday workings of your case.
I have a passion for walking alongside clients during what is often one of the most difficult times of their lives. I desire to help them navigate what many feel is an overwhelming process – to be a friendly and secure voice of peace in their lives. When I began working for Katelyn part-time four years ago, I quickly realized that I loved the work and wanted to be part of One Accord Legal’s vision: pursuing peace and reconciliation while advocating for justice and the client’s holistic wellbeing. I am honored and privileged to walk through this process with you, and hope that your interactions with me leave you feeling confident and at peace.
I received my Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Historical Musicology. I specialized in the exploration of Gustav Mahler’s use of the literal and metaphorical voice in some of his music. I have also been a professional violinist since I was in high school and continue to play professionally even now. How did I become a Family Law paralegal? While I was in graduate school, I had a close group of friends who were all in law school. Because of this, I spent many evenings helping them study and being privy to what they were learning. Although music is still a large part of my life, when the opportunity presented itself to work in the field of law, I saw it as a natural continuation of my diverse areas of interest.
I am grateful to work for a law firm who seeks to lead clients through Family Law issues in a peaceable and grace-filled way. I hope to have the privilege of being in the margin of your story, and walking with you as a friendly presence in your family’s journey.
